The Village of Dolton is a thriving community, boasting more than 25,000 residents. Located about 23 miles south of Downtown Chicago, it is know as the “Gateway to the South Suburbs.”
Established in 1837, the village was named after its founder, George Dolton. It was incorporated in 1892. Since that time the village has continued to grow and flourish. Restaurants, gas and convenience stations, new homes, street reconstruction and shopping centers have been developed over the last two years, and much more is on the way.
